Getting started
How much does Peak Savings cost?
It's free. Peak Savings is an early test build — no paywall, no subscription. If that ever changes, we'll say so clearly, up front.
How do I install it?
It's on Apple TestFlight (Apple's app for trying out apps in testing). Tap “Join the test”, install TestFlight if you're prompted, then install Peak Savings. No invite and no sign-up.
What phones does it run on?
iPhone (iOS 18 or later) for now. An Android version is being built — see the roadmap on the About page.
Does it support my bank?
The test build reads HSBC Hong Kong statements today. More banks and regions are coming, and a CSV import is planned to cover many more.
How it works
How does it read my statements?
You add your bank's PDF statement and the app reads it directly on your phone, turning it into categories, merchants and totals. It checks its reading against the balance printed on the statement — to the cent.
Do I need my bank login?
No. You never give a password or connect to your bank. You simply add the statement file.
What happens if a statement won't read?
The app shows a diagnostics screen instead of guessing — it never shows made-up numbers. You can choose to send that diagnostic so we can fix it.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere. Everything happens on your device — no cloud, no analytics on your spending, no ads. Delete the app and the data goes with it.
Using the app
Can I correct a wrong category?
Yes. Re-categorise any merchant in a tap and it's remembered — applied to past and future transactions.
What can I see in the app?
Your total spend, where it goes by category, the merchants behind it, recurring subscriptions, and what you save month to month.
Can I hide the amounts?
Yes — one tap blurs every number, for when you're in public or handing someone your phone.
What languages does it support?
English and Traditional Chinese (繁體中文).
Privacy & the test
Is it safe to use with my real statements?
Your statements never leave the phone, so there's nothing to leak. It's still a test build, so double-check anything important and keep your own records.
How do I send feedback or report a bug?
Email info@peaksavings.app. If something failed to read, include the diagnostic the app offers.
Is this the finished app?
Not yet — it's in open testing while we get it right. The About page has the full roadmap.
